Hallow Catholic Prayer App
This past Sunday, Alessandro DiSanto visited St. John to promote his team's new app, "Hallow." Hallow is a Catholic prayer and meditation app designed to help Catholics enter into more profound prayer with Our Lord Jesus Christ.
The app is free to download with 50% of its content being free of charge. The content includes Ignatius meditative prayer, Lectio Divinia, the Examen, and devotionals such as the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet that are updated daily. They teach you how to use this content with introduction sessions. One of the great things about Hallow is that they continually update and improve their app with new content. They are working hard to help YOUR spiritual life.
To unlock the other 50% of the material, you will need to subscribe for a monthly or annual fee. We partnered with Hallow in their Parish Pilot Program. In the pilot program, each parish receives a promo code. Our promo code is "evangelistin." Any person who subscribes and uses our code will receive a 20% discount on their subscription fee. In turn, the parish will also receive money from each subscription.
For any relationship to thrive, whether it be spouse, family, or friends, we need to invest time and love into that relationship. A relationship with God is no different. We need to invest time and love into our relationship with God, and the way to do that daily is in prayer. Prayer can be a struggle because we do not know how God communicates with us. The Hallow app answers that question and removes that obstacle. Its primary purpose is to help us learn how God communicates with us and provide opportunities for that to occur.
Let us all commit to deepening our relationship with God. The good news of the Gospel is simple as Romans 5:8 tells us, "But God proves his love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us." God could have left us and abandoned us after we were so unfaithful to Him. But He did not! He formulated a plan and executed that plan throughout the Old Testament with the culmination coming in the person of Jesus Christ. He gave His life for us! Let us commit to giving our lives to Him.
